CBT & Schema
CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) is good for goals-directed work and works in the 'here and now'.
Schema-aware therapy builds on CBT. This work will tend to take us back into childhood where most chronic behavioural patterns begin.
Below is a short guide that might help you decide which option would benefit you.

CBT (for 'the here
and now')
-
Do you have immediate issues that are getting strongly in the way of your life? Things like agoraphobia, social anxiety, depression, unwanted memories?
-
If so, we’ll use CBT to identify negative behaviours and emotions.
-
We’ll set up a plan for change that works for you.
Expected number of sessions - 8-12*
Schema-aware therapy, tackling lifetraps

-
Do you feel in the grip of chronic negative patterns? Perhaps they feel almost impossible to change.
Are you:
-
Caught in a pattern of similar, unsatisfying relationships.
-
More focused on other peoples’ needs, than your own?
-
Unsure if people could ever love the real you?
-
Catastrophising about the future whenever something bad occurs.
-
Uncomfortable with positive feedback? Feel you don’t deserve praise/credit, or that something major is missing from life?
-
In a struggle to maintain and manage all the elements of your life? To live up to your own standards?
Expected number of sessions - 8-16*

Costs
Therapy is £55 for an online session, or £60 for a Face to Face session at my premises in Glasgow (Alexandra Park). Meeting 'face-to-face' in Charing Cross is also £60.
If you have a reduced income, I can sometimes offer a reduction.
If you need to alter or cancel a session time, I will need at least two day's notice, otherwise you may be charged.

Change
You are free to change your mind about therapy at any time, with a week's notice. Of course, I would like to be involved in that decision, if possible.
